This guide was designed for students traveling to London for the "Art and Architecture of London" course (INTM 3474, Dr. Joiner and Dr. Reneke) being offered in January 2015 (or subsequently). Use the online catalog to find books, e-books, DVDs, and streaming video. The reference librarian can help you find resources on the topics that interest you. I've listed on this page a few titles relevant to the course description, but we have many more.
DVDs are on the upper level. The DVD DA section has DVDs on Great Britain; the DVD N section has art DVDs.
London: The Making of a City (DVD DA 677 .L858 2004, 6 discs)
Windsor Castle (DVD DA 690 .W766 2005)
Museum Masterpieces: The National Gallery, London (DVD N 6750 .M894 2009, 2 discs + guide)
You can use the online catalog to find "Streaming video."
There are many web sites for people visiting London. I especially recommend:
Transport for London - information on public transportation in London, including the Tube (underground) and buses.
London Theatre Guide - London has great theatres; see a play or a musical!
Don't hesitate to ask the reference librarian for other library resources, or if you have general questions on visiting London (how to get around town, how the currency works, etc.).
