Lewis Library Online Catalog
When looking for print books in the library, you may find it more useful to browse the shelves than to use the catalog alone. To begin your browsing quest, the first step is to decide what call numbers you should look for. A "call number" is the string of letters and numbers that tells you what book is where on the library shelves. The first one or two letters in the call number you see on the online catalog tell you what the general subject of the book is, and books are sorted alphabetically, so they will be grouped together by those letters.
